Fading Memories of Hong Kong

Series of illustrations

This series is my personal recollection of a visit to Hong Kong. Some memories are loud and blazing, others quiet and dissolving into the page. The limited palette and patterns helped me grasp these fading impressions, reconstruct them, and recreate the atmosphere of the city as I remember it.

Technique: traditional media — limited watercolor palette (four colors), black ink, grey and black fineliners, red pencil, white gel pen, paper.
